BRIEF HISTORY

The company was incorporated on 7th October, I988 and commenced business almost immediately.

Aureol Services Limited came into being as a result of a growing concern of its proprietors for the need to introduce non-monetized welfare packages into the working environment in Nigeria, as exists in most developed countries of the world.

The focus of the proprietors derived from well acknowledged fact that, “The greatest asset of any nation is her people”, and it goes without saying, that the working class is the most important class for the preservation and enhancement of any nation’s economy.

It is in this vein that the working class is identified for protection particularly in his working environment, where he is regarded as an asset, contributing to the wealth of his enterprise and by extension, contributing his quota to the prosperity of his nation.

To preserve his health is to prevent him from falling ill – through infection, through stress, lack of well-ventilated working environment, through noise and other environmental pollution, through poor hygiene provision, through poor illumination in offices, and through lack of adequate safety and security provisions in working environment.

The first area of focus on inception was in the provision of high standard of hygiene in the corporate office working environment, particularly in common areas like toilets, canteens, common rooms, and other common areas. These are obviously the areas where cross-infection risks are highest. They therefore require special attention.

The provision of the following hygiene and ventilation equipment made a world of difference in the hygiene level of these areas.

a.       Worm air hand dryer in toilets

b.       Liquid soap dispensers in toilets

c.        Macerators in female toilets for the disposal of sanitary towels

d.       Extractors fans and door grilles in toilets cubicles

e.        Water sanitizer in toilets cisterns and urinals

f.         Toilet seat sanitizers

g.       Water management systems in toilets

h.       Extractor fans, electric insect killer and electronic rat repellants in kitchens and canteens

All or some of these were installed in some major commercial and merchant banks corporate head offices in Lagos. These maiden projects were so successful and popular that the services spread like a bush fire to many more banks, their branches both in Lagos and outside Lagos, some major oil marketing and exploring companies, manufacturing outfits, particularly those manufacturing edibles and drugs.

The success recorded as described above however gave birth to new challenges.

a.       The challenge of sustaining the standard achieved

b.       The challenge of expansion to meet growing demands

c.        The challenge of back-up services like maintenance, spare parts and services.

d.       The identification and separation of the various market targets for our different and varied services.

The awareness in turn gave birth to the evolution of our operations into three (3) distinct (but sometimes overlapping) divisions, namely:

1.          DOMESTIC VENTURE

2.          COMMERCIAL VENTURE

3.          INDUSTRIAL VENTURE

History is normally an abridged catalogue of where one is coming from, noting bus stops, sign posts, land marks and milestones. The question now is where are we now?

                Some say we are industrial support, others say we are hotel Services Company.

                Some say we are air-conditioning company, others say we are Hygiene Company.

                We believe that we are all of these and a lot more. But if we want a label, we say that we
